Can this be done solo? Doesn't seem like it is possible, but I had to ask.

Short answer: NO.
Long answer: Noooooooo...

For one - you need min 8 players in order for it to actually start (Max limit - 10 players).
If you don't have anyone to join BC with - don't worry, you can join it on your own, it's not limited to "party-join".
Furthermore - it'll be simply impossibru to clear 25 rounds on your own. You need at least 5 actively playing players (even though that you start with min 8 players they can DC, or leave it, or even just AFK, so you might end up with less active players, probably can be done with 4 as well, but that would be rather hard I guess, and most likely impossible for 3 or less). That said - you will obtain some rewards even if you fail to clear 25 rounds, and also you get drop from bosses which appear every 5th round.
