but after the "modify meta...." it says "Failed to modify meta".

Check the first BDO RU Indication, and tell me its color. If it's not Black then send me the error from "Launcher/EvLog" folder as well.

Update: Your Windows tells Launcher that access to your meta file (BlackDesert\live\Paz\pad00000.meta) is locked by another process. You can use LockHunter or any other similar software to figure out what exactly locks access to your file.

Just to make it clear - in order to modify the file Launcher needs access to the file, so there's no workaround, other than unlocking the file. I could add an "option" somewhere in settings to kill anything that restricts access to whatever Launcher is trying to modify, but that might cause lots of harm or even bsods (e.g. if file is locked by the system itself or AV that sits in system, etc.).
You can also try to check it with Process Explorer, or check logs of your AV in case it has automatic real-time file protection or smth like that. It might also be a restrictive configuration of your Windows policy, so try to start Launcher as an admin if that is possible.

The game is forcepatched on the screenshots, so if LithStud's patch was properly extracted and the game doesn't redownload files, and the patch is not outdated, then everything should be working fine, so just recheck if you've done everything correctly. Also you'd be better off asking LithStud if all of his "shamanism" with RU client was done correctly I haven't patched RU client even once in my entire life.
